Adam Meistrell
Adam Meistrell feels a constant tug between the hard, clean lines of graphic design and the rugged look of handmade objects. He loves borders and fences. Fences invoke a sense comfort and safety, as well as the impending excitement of breaking or jumping those boundaries and exploring life beyond. The boundaries allow for both goals and adventures. His travels throughout the world and the accompanying experiences inspire my artwork. Often His work alludes to symbols of travel and flight.
Adam Meistrell was born and raised in Naples, Florida. His first memories are of making art and traveling. He has extensive teaching experience in K-12 art, along with adult and community education. Adam earned his MFA from The Louisiana State University in 2017. Adam and his wife, Monica, have returned home to Naples, Florida and maintain their practice through Trek and Tern Studios.
