Bone Yard, 2015, Letterpress Print, printed by Smokey Road Press, 7.75x10
Boneyard was drawn and illustrated as an homage to the beautiful display of "naked" pots left behind on shelfs of past lecturers, demonstrators, and educators. These "boneyard" pots add to the identity of both potters and facilities experiences. The beauty I find is that although unfinished (no glaze) they personally represent the infinite possibilities still to come, as well as all the choices, failures, risks, and successes the artists have had up until that point. Personally, when I look at boneyard collections of bisque ware I'm captivated by the magic and left in wonder of what's to come."
